The Art of Wood was set up by Daniel Tomlinson, a designer/maker of bespoke furniture. Creating pieces of the highest craftsmanship, his designs bring together the natural, living vibrancy of wood with a dynamic sense of spacial balance.

Dan holds a level 3 distinction City & Guilds in hand-crafted furniture and won The Worshipful Company of Upholders 1st prize for cabinet making. His work has been chosen for the 2008 New Designers exhibition and the prestigious 2009 Celebration of Craftsmanship and Design. He is a licentiate of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.

The Art of Wood is located on the edge of the stunning Brecon Beacons national park, where Dan lives with his wife Joanna and two wonderful children Sasha and Sophie.
